Plan and schedule all telecommunication technician work (preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, service requests, and emergent requests) per plant procedures and Information Services (IS) department instructions and expectations. Serve as the IS department coordinator for all refueling outage IS related service requests and telecommunication technician support requests. Serve as the coordinator for emergent telecommunications support requests.
Responsible for planning and scheduling work order packages, work requests, and work tickets for telecommunications technicians in accordance with IS and Work Management procedures, guides, and expectations.
Ensure that work is assembled with all appropriate and valid documentation. Monitor work backlogs and update supervision and stakeholders as needed. Ensure that general material for scheduled work is procured and available. Manage all quality assurance documents as required by regulations and procedure. Ensure that work documentation is completed in accordance with station and department expectations.
Coordinate and manage response to emergent requests and system disruptions that require telecommunications technician support. Meets with the customers, conducts walk downs, and determines the best way to utilize resources. Provides detailed work instructions. Interfaces with other departments as needed to effectively understand and coordinate work activities.
Create, review, and update work documents, procedures, and drawings. Schedule telecommunications technicians for required training. Identify, propose and implement opportunities for process improvements to streamline work activities.
Process and track Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) and Online Scope Change Request (OSCR) Action Requests as needed to optimize schedule dates and preventative maintenance performance.
Create, review, and update work documents, procedures, and drawings. Identify, propose and implement opportunities for process improvements to streamline work activities.
Coordinate all IS related refueling outage readiness, work scope, and activities to ensure successful station refueling outage. Coordinate department status meeting in preparation for refueling outage. Participate in refueling outage planning meetings (e.g. core business outage meetings, High Impact Team meetings, Functional Area meetings, and project meetings) as necessary. Coordinate temporary power for IS equipment.
Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated. Must support the biennial refueling outage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LEVEL II: Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field and three years of directly related information technology (IT) or field work planning/scheduling experience;
OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field or a two-year trade school certificate and five years of directly related information technology (IT) or field work planning/scheduling experience;
OR in lieu of degree, seven years of directly related IT or field work planning/scheduling experience. A high school diploma or GED is required.
LEVEL I: Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field; OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field or a two-year trade school certificate and two years of directly related information technology (IT) or field work planning/scheduling experience; OR in lieu of degree, four years of directly related IT or field work planning/scheduling experience. DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LEVEL II: Four years of field work planning/scheduling experience at a nuclear power plant. Two years of telecommunication system maintenance experience.
LEVEL I: Two years of field work planning/scheduling experience at a nuclear power plant; Two years of telecommunication system maintenance experience.
Level II Salary: $77,963 minimum to $97,454 midpoint, $116,945 career excellence
Level I Salary: $67,838 minimum to $84,798 midpoint, $101,758 career excellence
Typically, selected candidates are hired at a salary rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
