General Summary
Provide department level leadership and management for the Project Development organization of New Nuclear. Oversee
and manage schedules, budgets, programs, risk assessments and any other project deliverables or special projects in
accordance with internal procedure requirements and industry standards for the following areas of New Nuclear:
Project management and controls
Business plan and schedule development
Project marketing and power contract development
Funding source identification
Risk management and contingency planning
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide leadership and management direction to the Project Development-New Nuclear department and staff
utilizing the leadership expectations, core values, and strategic objectives while providing training, coaching and
development of personnel to assure high performance, opportunity for advancement, and good morale in the
organization. Create vision, goals and expectations for the department and provide leadership to be successful.
Make decisions about personnel regarding employment and resolve personnel problems. Facilitate activities of
the department with other parts of the New Nuclear organization, Energy Services and Development, and
appropriate EN corporate and Columbia Generating Station organizations.
Create an awareness of strategic goals and the role the department plays in achieving them.
Lead and direct all phases of project development and management for new nuclear projects including technical
input into project proposals, preparation of business plans, risk assessments, required board and regulatory
approvals, identification of funding, development and execution of project schedules and budgets, and timely and
accurate reporting on project performance.
Lead the technical development of new agreements for power contracts and services provided to clients related
to new nuclear development. Manage the communication and interface of deliverables such as schedules, milestones, budgets, etc. to utility project management and/or external stakeholders.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university and ten or more years of working for a nuclear generation facility, electric public utility, or related environment such as a government agency or private or public utility related organization with experience in budget and cost control, risk management principles, business planning, project management principles and construction.
Must have at least 3 years of supervisor/manager experience.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Working with advanced reactor technologies
Columbia Generating Station BWR Management Certification
Bachelor of Science Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field
PMP certification or Master’s degree in science or management

Salary Range
Salary: $136,406 minimum to $170,507 midpoint, $204,608 career excellence
Typically, selected candidates are hired at a salary rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
