GENERAL SUMMARY
Perform independent supplier audits, commercial grade surveys, and surveillances to support the procurement of products and services that affect safety-related or augmented quality functions at Columbia Generating Station. Interface directly with Supply Chain Services, Procurement Engineering, and other nuclear utilities in support of supplier evaluations. Coordinate NUPIC Mega audit teams, participate in source selection committees, and support major projects with minimal supervision required. This position is a technical leader and mentor of other auditors and lead auditors. This position is required by regulation and is necessary to ensure items and services procured meet applicable quality requirement and are not degraded at the time of receipt.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Plan, lead, and perform performance-based supplier audits and commercial grade surveys to support the procurement of safety-related and augmented quality products and services.
2.Review third party audits and commercial grade surveys to ensure the audit/survey is acceptable for Energy Northwest’s use. This includes ensuring Procurement Engineering review of the surveys for inclusion of proper critical characteristics.
3.Perform annual evaluations of supplier’s performance, unacceptable trends, deficiencies, and any other changes that would affect the supplier’s qualification status on the Evaluated Suppliers List (ESL).
4.Conduct supplier surveillances as required by engineering request and Vendor Inspection Plans (VIPs) for critical plant equipment and services.
5.Coordinate and lead large audit teams, major projects, and significant Supplier Quality assignments.
6.Review supplier submitted documentation for proper inclusion of technical and quality requirements.
7.Maintain department procedures, manuals, instructions, and personnel certifications current.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Quality Auditor III
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience (Ref. ANSI/ANS-3.1 1987) and eleven years of progressively more responsible assignments in a quality assurance or technical field plus one diverse assignment.
Desire six years or more of supplier auditing and/or extensive experience in one of the following areas: Software Quality, ASME Code, Calibration, Dry Cask, Welding, Electrical, Pumps/Valves, Non-Destructive Testing.
Quality Auditor II
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university AND five years of progressive experience in quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, construction, operation, maintenance, or another technical role. OR An Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university AND seven years of progressive experience in quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, construction, operation, maintenance, or another technical role. OR A High School diploma/GED AND nine years of progressive experience in quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, construction, operation, maintenance, or another technical role.

Pay Range:
Quality Auditor III Salary: $119,107 - $178,661
Midpoint : $148,884
Quality Auditor II Salary: $103,563 - $155,345
Midpoint : $129,454
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
